Tamar House Nursing Home offers a variety
of comfortable single and double rooms that lend themselves to individual personalisation. All rooms are
tastefully furnished and decorated to give a homelike and pleasant atmosphere.
There are television points in all rooms and each room is connected to the home's nurse call system. Many of the first floor rooms have panoramic views of the River Tamar with the rolling hills of Dartmoor in the distance. All first floor rooms are made easily accessible by means of a spacious 5 person lift.
On the ground floor there is a large lounge
and television room offering residents a focal point for some of our activities which include
movie afternoons, chair exercises, games, reminiscence therapy sessions, manicures and visits from
local choirs. There is a patio conveniently located for relaxing or receiving guests during the
warm summer months, and the seperate dining room offers residents the option to dine amongst friends.
But, more importantly, is the knowledge and peace of mind that everyday life at Tamar House is supported by unlimited access to assisted living and the skills of our professional nurses and care team.
